An Accounting Firm Has Been Fined After Being Caught Providing False Payslips To Fair Work Inspectors
So what do you think about this? An accounting firm has been fined after being caught providing false payslips to Fair Work inspectors…
It is interesting that they have merely fined the company. No mention of any fraud being created by the individual that actually fabricated the pay slips.
So would the TPB take an interest in this? It will be interesting to see if they are still registered tax agents in a year’s time.
The articles found keep saying how professional service firms will be bought into these actions but really, a $5,000 fine is probably less than their bad debts write for the quarter. Unless further action is taken we can’t see where the deterrence is.
