Day 0 - 3 July (Wednesday) Drinks

Upon your arrival on the 3rd of July, settle in and mingle with your fellows before the first day of training.

Tickets for welcome drinks are available for purchase separately - $110 per person.

About Welcome Drinks Held on 3 July 2024

During our welcome drinks, we've also added an anWednesday, imal encounter experience for you. If you'd like to join us for this 2-hour welcome drink (canapes included), we also arranged a 1-hour animal encounter for you to kick start your CPD in Paradise conference. The welcome drinks start at 6 pm. Be sure to join.

Getting There

The hotel is only seven kilometres away from Cairns International & Cairns Domestic Airport, and there are various ways to get to getting there:

Rental Car

If you plan to visit various places in Cairns, you can rent a car at the airport and drive to the venue. Hotel parking is also available (fees apply, enquire with the hotel).

Taxi/Uber

Approx. AUD$20 - $25 each way from Cairns Airport to the hotel. Approx. travel time is 9 minutes. Uber prices may vary.

After The Training...Make It A Family Trip

Cairns is the perfect location to bring your family along with. After two easygoing days of training, spend time on the weekend with them. There are plenty of things to do as a family, whether it's simply a great barrier reef cruise trip, helicopter ride, rainforest trip, or shopping trip, there are many activities to choose from.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's your refund policy? 

Refunds are provided with 90 days notice before the event where you have purchased a full priced single event ticket. If you have purchased a 'Buy 3 Get the 4th 50% Off' ticket, no refunds will be provided as we have already reserved your spot and discounted the price.
If you booked the ticket and didn't show up, no refunds will be provided as we have already reserved catering and your spot.
If you cannot make it to the event at the last minute, you can find a replacement to attend the event on your behalf and email us info@advisersdigest.com.au so that you get all the event information on time.

Do you cater for different diets?

Yes, we cater for different dietary requirements. Our venue - Novotel Cairns can meet your requirements as long as you give us notice before the deadline. 
The event also includes delicious morning/afternoon tea, lunch and a 3-course dinner. 

Am I allowed to bring my travel partner(s) / family members to the 3-course dinner on day 1?

Of course, you are invited to bring along your travel partner(s) or family members to the 3-course dinner, however, there will be additional costs. For additional adult guests, it will be $175 per head, while for children (ages below 12) it will be $55.  Please email us if you require this: info@advisersdigest.com.au

What if I don't want to stay at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort

That is no problem at all. You have the option of staying at your own choice of accommodation (although the venue for the training sessions will be at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort. 
However, staying at the Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort will be much more convenient as the training session and all the events will be held there. You can decide what's suitable for you.

Does the ticket include the welcome drinks on Wednesday 3 September?

Welcome drinks are not included in your CPD In Paradise ticket. If you wish to join us for welcome drinks you have to purchase a ticket separately. 

How do I join the welcome drinks on Wednesday 3 September?

You can purchase a welcome drink ticket for $110. If you want to bring a companion along they can pay separately. We will advise on this later.

Do you have special rates for accommodation booking at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort?

We are providing a room discount rate with Novotel and Shangri-la Cairns starting from $255/night.
